Mobile Application Design
This tablet and mobile application was designed around the concept of helping Evinrude make it easier to manage the marketing material, and speeding up the time it takes to get this material in their customer’s hands.

Problems
Evinrude needed a mobile solution to streamline how their sales team accessed and shared marketing materials—eliminating inefficiencies and improving the customer experience. They approached our team with a specific goal:
Content Management & Delivery
Reduce reliance on printed materials and lower distribution costs.
Accelerate how quickly new content reached dealerships and customers.
Sales Enablement
Provide sales staff with quick, mobile access to brochures, specs, and media.
Allow for easy customization and sharing of materials during customer interactions.
Brand Consistency
Designs needed to align with existing marketing and brand guidelines. These brand guidelines shifted mid-project when Evinrude released a new set of guidelines.
Process
To tackle the problem, I set out to design a mobile and tablet application experience that would be easy for Evinrude’s sales team to use on the showroom floor or in the field.
Initial Research & Concepting
Designed the first version using existing marketing materials and the corporate website as inspiration.
Focused on organizing content clearly and optimizing for mobile usability, despite the absence of brand guidelines.
Iteration & Redesign
Reworked the UI after Evinrude released formal brand guidelines.
Incorporated new visual elements and added complementary colors to maintain usability and brand alignment.
Focus on User-Centered Design
Collaborated with stakeholders, sales reps, and the creative director to understand real-world use cases.
Used feedback to inform navigation priorities, UI hierarchy, and interaction patterns.
Navigation & Interaction Design
Created a tab-based navigation structure aligned with the typical sales flow.
Ensured quick access to key tools like “Build a Quote,” product information, and performance reports for in-the-moment sales support.

The Solution
We delivered a cross-platform (iOS + Android) application tailored for Evinrude’s sales staff. The app consolidated marketing collateral—product brochures, images, specifications—and made it immediately accessible, customizable, and shareable.
